I went from TCS ➡️ Deloitte ➡️ Google without an IIT tag, and while becoming a mother, battling vision loss, and rebuilding from scratch. Here’s how it really happened. 👇 At 21, I landed in Mumbai with a TCS offer in hand, dreams in my eyes, and zero clue about what the future held. I danced, modeled, explored the city’s chaos, but deep down, I knew I wanted more. So I packed my bags and moved to Bangalore, determined to break into MAANG. Amazon noticed my resume. I failed that interview. It stung. I didn’t give up. I moved to Harman to gain product experience, then to Deloitte Labs to sharpen my engineering and leadership skills, waiting for my next shot. Life had other plans. A retinal hemorrhage took away 100% vision in my right eye. Three injections, endless hospital visits, and floaters in my sight became my new normal. I learned to live with it. Then, I became a mother. Sleepless nights. Diaper changes. Feeding schedules. And a quiet promise to myself: I would get back up and go after my dreams. I started applying again. This time, I was ready. My resume got picked by top MAANG companies. I cleared multiple rounds, received multiple offers, and chose Google. Not because it was easy, but because I refused to give up. Working at Google is like being part of a big family that takes care of you in every way.😎 My day starts with a workout, and Google provides an incredible gym with expert trainers to kick off my mornings just as I plan. After that, there’s a variety of healthy breakfast options—fruits, juices, veggies, dry fruits, and nutritious meals—ensuring I start my day right.🍎🍓🥦🥗🥝🥞 After the gym, if I’ve pulled a muscle or need to relax, Google’s got that covered too with soothing massage chairs that help me unwind before diving into work.💆‍♀️ I begin my workday early, and when I need quiet focus time amidst the buzz around me, I head to one of the focus pods— Google has thoughtfully created these peaceful workspaces.👩‍💻 Though I usually skip the buffet lunch, I always find light snacks in the conveniently located micro kitchens on every floor, keeping me energized through the day.🥪🥨🍓🍎🍌🍐 When I need to stretch or change my posture, Google’s ergonomic workstations come to the rescue with adjustable desks that allow me to stand and move while working. It’s a small change, but it makes a big difference to my productivity and posture.🖥️💁‍♀️ By evening, when it's time for a coffee break, Google office provides plenty of coffee and tea options—both hot and cold—so I never get bored with my choices.☕🍵🧋 Finally, as the day ends and I prepare to head home, navigating Bangalore’s peak-hour traffic can be a challenge. But once again, Google has it covered, offering convenient transportation between home and office.🚕🚗🚓 I’m grateful to work in a place where my well-being is a priority.
