“Is NITI Aayog the only good government internship?” That’s what I thought too. Until I explored beyond the buzz. Applied to NITI. No reply. Waited. Refreshed the inbox every second? I know the feeling- refreshing my Gmail, hoping for that one reply. (Been there, done that.) But here’s the truth no one tells you: NITI isn’t the only path to public policy. There are real, underrated government internships that are equally impactful. Here are some you should seriously check out: 🔹 Ministry of Home Affairs – Bureau of Economic Research and Policy Development (BPR&D) Work on internal security, disaster management, grassroots policing - not just research, real field insights. 🔹Ministry of External Affairs, India – Centre for Public Policy Research and Diplomatic Studies (CPD) Dive into India’s global image, diplomacy, and strategic communication. 🔹 Ministry of Women & Child Development (MWCD) Work on gender rights, child policy, and national-level initiatives- full of eye-opening, human-first experiences. 🔹 Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Research-based internship in economics, finance, and policy analytics. 💸 ₹20,000/month – one of the most prestigious summer programs. 🔹 Competition Commission Of India (CCI) Explore legal/economic aspects of market competition and regulation. 💸 ₹15,000/month – great fit for law + econ enthusiasts. 🔹Department of Economic Innovation and Development - Ministry of Finance Get hands-on with budget analysis, financial inclusion, and policy briefs. 💸 ₹10,000/month – policy meets macroeconomics. Most people don’t even know these exist. But those who’ve done them? They’ve gone on to think tanks, core ministry work, civil service prep bodies-no exaggeration. 📩 Want the application links, SOP tips, or any other help? Drop a “GOVT” in the comments (please send a connection req so I can dm you the link)!🤍 You can join the WhatsApp community if you wish to explore more opportunities like these: https://lnkd.in/gAsSgrtd

Stop DMing "Hi sir, any internship?" 😭 99% of such messages go ignored. Not because you're not qualified. But because your letter sounds like everyone else's. Here's why I'm doing this: Most students copy templates from Google. Recruiters read 50 identical messages every week. ❌ I stopped writing FOR the company ✅ I started writing TO the person The results when I started using this format: • Before: Generic template → 1 callback per 30 applications • After: Personalized framework → 1 callback per 5 applications This approach helped me get responses from teams at Deloitte | Invest India | NITI Aayog | McKinsey & Company Forward | Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) and more. If you want the exact framework I use: 1. Engage with the post+ Follow me 2. Comment your email I’ll send you the full template. 🩷 I’m hosting a small session on this for 2026 planning. Internships, LinkedIn, placements, cold mailing, all of it. Link's in my bio (Topmate) or DM me!✨ LinkedIn LinkedIn for Marketing LinkedIn Learning

My research tenure at the Parliamentary Affairs of his office just ended. So did Raghav Chadha’s tenure with AAP. The timing? Honestly, it feels almost cinematic. :) Everyone keeps asking me: "What’s it like to be in the thick of a transition like that?" From the outside, we romanticize these rooms as spaces of perfect structure, scripted brilliance, and people who always have a roadmap. But the inside? It’s far more human. It’s messy, it’s real-time, and it’s completely unscripted. Over these 3 months, I learned that no one is sitting there with flawless answers, they’re just faster at asking sharper questions You see how, Change is constant, and the most valuable skill is staying calm, listening closely, and speaking up even when you’re not 100% sure. When the noise outside is deafening, the work inside has to be quiet, focused, and grounded in real constraints, not polished narratives. One more thing I have realised is how, No one has the answers. Even at this level, there is no manual. It’s all rapid-fire iteration. The "smartest" people aren't the ones with the answers, they are the ones who ask the right questions, faster. As a child, I used to think these rooms were off-limits, that you needed an exclusive invite or a perfect blueprint to step inside. Turns out, you just need to show up and be willing to figure it out in the dark. One application, one "let’s just try" moment, and suddenly the room feels a lot smaller. Onto the next chapter!🩷 Parliament of India LinkedIn #RaghavChadha #InternshipDiaries Office of Member of Parliament #governmentinternship
