After spending 3 years preparing for NEET, my journey was filled with highs and lows.
First attempt: 390 marks.
On my second try, I was so affected by COVID that I was unable to even sit for the test.
Third attempt: 580 marks— but not enough for a government MBBS position.
While everyone asked me to pursue Dental, I made the decision to step away from medicine and enter the field that had my interest-IT.
After spending three years at home, I took admission at JK Lakshmipat University, unsure of what was ahead but determined to make the most of it.
In the beginning, I felt completely lost. Among colleagues with strong academic records and confident personalities, I was an introvert person and an average student wondering if I’d ever reach that level.
But I had one thing in mind: a desire to learn and grow.
I started taking small steps:
> Learning new courses.
> Exploring problem-solving.
> Working hard to secure a 50% scholarship (and wondering, “Why cant I Score more?”).
> Engaging in more talks with people around and activities.
> Trying to learn from my batchmates.
Slowly, my confidence grew. I began ideating on projects, perceiving feedback from faculties, increasing class participation, asking queries and building my strong academic foundation. I began participating in activities, overcome my fear of speaking, and started taking on leadership roles. From being a volunteer to joining the student council, and eventually becoming the Organizing Head of two major events—Aarambh (18-day orientation) and Sabrang (our cultural fest)—my journey was filled with challenges, but it shaped me into who I am today.
This journey taught me that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It's about accepting the highs and lows, falling, growing, and getting back up.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: You may not always get what you desire, but there’s often a better plan waiting for you. Think about the process rather than the end goal. Fall, standup and Grow.
Extremely thankful to all the teachers for their guidance, friends, family who stood through out this journey.
