🌟 Wrapping up Day 2 at #PMSAC24 in New Delhi 🌟 Today was nothing short of inspiring, as we closed the PMI South Asia Conference 2024 on a high note. The day was filled with motivational speeches, meaningful discussions, and powerful connections. One of the highlights for me was meeting Sir Anand Kumar, the visionary behind the Super 30 initiative in India. His passion for education and empowering underprivileged students was truly moving and resonated deeply with me. His journey is a reminder of the impact we can have through dedication and purpose-driven work. Throughout the day, I was inspired by so many speakers and panelists who shared their wisdom and experiences. From leadership insights to innovative project management strategies, this event has truly expanded my horizons. Some key takeaways for me include: ✅ The Power of Networking: Building strong relationships within the project management community is invaluable. Collaboration fosters growth, and this conference highlighted the strength of coming together. ✅ Adaptability and Innovation: In today’s fast-evolving landscape, the need to stay agile and embrace innovation is critical. I’m excited to integrate new strategies into my work that will help drive change and efficiency. ✅ Leadership in Uncertain Times: Many speakers touched on the importance of leading with empathy, vision, and resilience, especially in challenging environments. These lessons will guide me in my future endeavors. A big thank you to all the incredible speakers, panelists, and attendees who made this event a success. You’ve all played a role in shaping the future of project management, and I’m proud to be part of this community. Special thanks to Afdhel Aziz (He/Him) & Dananjaya Hettiarachchi for your remarkable insights and to Ajit Chauhan Ambika Natarajan Amitabh Shah Hariharan Subramanyan Rajiv Nehru Sreekanth K Arimanithaya Brandon Grossman for the meaningful conversations we shared. As I look ahead, I’m excited to apply these learnings and continue this journey of growth in the project management field. Here’s to pushing boundaries, setting new benchmarks, and embracing a mindset of lifelong learning. 💬 To everyone who attended the event, I’d love to hear your takeaways! Share them in the comments, and feel free to connect. #PMISouthAsia #Leadership #ProjectManagement #Networking #Innovation #LearningJourney #GrowthMindset #Inspiration Project Management Institute PMI - North India Chapter

Hey Upwork and fellow Upworkers! I've been using Upwork since I left my job and started my freelancing career earlier this year. While I appreciate the platform and the opportunities it provides, I believe there are some areas for improvement. In particular, I think Upwork could do more to attract and support freelancers like us. Here are some suggestions I've come up with: 1. Improve the platform's user interface: - Simplify the onboarding process and make it easier to navigate. - Improve the search functionality to help freelancers find relevant job postings more easily. 2. Offer more resources and support: - Provide more educational content, webinars, and mentorship programs to help freelancers improve their skills and become more successful on the platform. 3. Increase transparency: - Provide more information about how job postings are selected and promoted. - Be more transparent about the hiring process, so freelancers understand how the platform works and what they need to do to succeed. 4. Reduce fees: - Upwork's fees can be high, especially for smaller projects. - By reducing their fees or offering more flexible pricing options, Upwork could attract more freelancers to their platform. 5. Improve dispute resolution: - Provide more support during disputes to help freelancers feel more secure and confident about working on the platform. - Implement a more fair and transparent dispute resolution process. 6. Increase the number of connects: - Upwork should increase the number of free connects available to freelancers every month. - With the increase in connect requirements, it's becoming more difficult for freelancers to apply for jobs without spending a lot of money on additional connects. 7. Address fake job postings: - Upwork should start charging job posters for their job postings to deter people who are not serious about hiring freelancers from posting jobs. - This could be an effective way to reduce the number of fake job postings on the platform. 8. Improve freelancer plus benefits: - Provide more accurate and up-to-date information to freelancer plus members while applying for jobs. - Show the number of applicants on job postings, and adjust the "bids high, medium and low" system accordingly. - Reduce the amount of connects required for freelancer plus members to apply for the same job. - Refund the connects used to apply for jobs if there is no activity on the job post for more than 7 days. Overall, by addressing these issues, Upwork could improve their platform and attract more freelancers to join and use their services. I'm sharing this feedback with Upwork in the hopes that they will listen and take action. What do you think, fellow Upworkers? Do you have any additional suggestions for improving the platform? Let's start a conversation! #Upwork #freelancers #freelancework #remotejobs #remotework #onlinework #freelancetips #worktips #onlinefreelancers #upworkfreelancers #UpworkCommunity #UpworkSuccess #UpworkTips
