Hiring Manager: “I see a career break on your resume. Any reason?” Candidate: “My mother was extremely unwell. I was her full-time caregiver. I could not have left her alone since nobody was around to take care.” Hiring Manager: “And now?” Candidate: “She’s better . I am ready to rebuild now.I know I have a gap—but I’ve kept learning. I only need an opportunity”. The hiring manager didn’t ask anything further. Ten minutes later, he walked into the next room, looked at the HR, and said: “Let’s not waste talent just because life happened. Let’s Offer her.She is good and can learn fast” Candidate joined the next week. 😇Talent isn’t defined by a continuity in resume. Sometimes, it’s defined by courage, strength and readiness to rise again. To all leaders, recruiters, and TA heads— Behind every gap, there’s a story. Not everyone steps off the career track because they “had to.” Before filtering —look deeper. Hire for potential, not just the timeline. Because life happens. And not everyone is privileged enough to sail smoothly in the career boat. 💙 Hire the human. Not just the history.

That’s called just like a wooow… Hats off to the person who thought about this idea…..kudos Blinkit I lost my dad sometime back due to non availability of medical facilities on time.Its painful when we recall the entire scenario - even though we had everything in hand we could not do anything despite being in a big city like Bengaluru..
