Surviving in Banglore on 12K! Sounds like a tall tale right? But I’ve had to do just that back in 2017. About 5-6 years ago, when I was interning for GE HealthCare I used to get 18 - 20 thousand per month. Out of that, 5k to 6k was reserved for my sisters' education compulsorily. My PG expense was 7k and I required around 1k for bus travel. And then of course there are some miscellaneous expenses. There were times when I had to hold myself back from going outside and having food merely because of money. No hanging out with friends, no buying stuff, no living the Bangalore nightlife, and strictly no expensive shopping! Life was very dull and challenging but there was no way I could give up because I had so many responsibilities on my shoulders. Those were difficult days and the only thing I wanted then was to get out of that situation and live a life that doesn’t restrict me to do the things I like. But as they say, “You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life.” And just like that, landing a job with Microsoft was the silver lining to my dark clouds. It took me and my family into the light. And since then, I wish to extend the same light to others. #microsoft #healthcare #education #food #money #bangalore
