If you’re aiming for finance roles, this PDF is worth your time.
It’s Shell’s Financial Modelling Guidance, showing how a real global company approaches financial modelling — beyond textbook theory.
What it covers:
• Key business drivers and their impact on numbers
• How companies build and think about financial models
• Real-world assumptions used in decision making
Who should read:
• Students (CFA, MBA, BBA)
• Aspiring roles in IB, Equity Research, Corporate Finance
How it helps in jobs:
Most candidates know formulas, but not the “why” behind them.
This helps you think like an analyst, give practical answers, and stand out in interviews.
That’s the real edge.
Comment “PDF” and I’ll mail it to you.
Today I ordered from Blinkit.
The app showed 17 minutes fair enough, since there’s no dark store near my house.
When the delivery partner arrived, I asked him about the recent strike.
His answer stayed with me.
He said, “Ma’am, the pressure isn’t from Blinkit or Zomato. They understand distance and time. The pressure comes from customers.”
He explained how people keep calling again and again:
“10 minutes ho gaye, abhi chahiye.”
“Jaldi deliver karo.”
That constant pressure forces riders to rush and that’s when accidents happen.
He also said something important:
Delivery partners are more eager than customers to deliver fast.
One delivery done quickly means the next order, and more earnings.
If they’re late, there’s usually a genuine reason.
We often blame platforms for “10-minute delivery promises.”
But think about this We walk into Brand outlets because of a “50% OFF” sign, and later realise only a few items are discounted.
Do we start fighting with the store manager?
No.
We adjust. We understand.
That same understanding is missing when it comes to delivery workers.
Maybe instead of blaming Zomato, Blinkit, or quick commerce as a whole we need to look inward.
