"I got rejected by Microsoft 3 times. Here’s how I finally got hired. 😱 Yes, you read that right. I applied for Microsoft 3 times and got rejected every time. But I didn’t give up. I learned from my mistakes and improved my skills. And after 3 months of hard work and perseverance, I got an offer from Microsoft that I couldn’t refuse. 🙌 How did I do it? Here are the 5 steps that helped me land my dream job: 💠 Learn new skills and technologies that are relevant to the role you want. 🚀 💠 Practice coding problems every day on platforms like LeetCode, HackerRank, and GeeksforGeeks. 💻 💠 Apply for jobs on LinkedIn, AngelList, hirist.com, Instahyre, Naukri.com, Glassdoor, and other platforms. You Customize your resume and cover letter for each job. 📝 💠 Prepare for the interviews by researching the company, the role, and the culture. Practice behavioral questions using the #STAR method. 🌟 💠 Follow up with the recruiters and hiring managers after each interview. Thank them for their time and express your interest in the role. 🙏 💠 Find mentors who can guide and support you on your career journey. Learning from experienced professionals is invaluable. Discover mentors on topmate.io! 🌟 These steps may seem simple, but they are not easy. They require dedication, discipline, and determination. But they are worth it. I also want to thank my parents in this journey of mine and in believing in me.✨ So if you’re an aspiring software engineer who wants to work with top product based companies, don’t let rejection stop you. Learn from it and improve yourself. You have what it takes to succeed. 💯 If you found this post helpful or inspiring, share it with your network and can comment if I missed something. And if you have any questions or doubts about how to prepare for product-based companies or how to ace the interview process, you can reach out to me on LinkedIn, Instagram or Topmate. I’d love to help you in any way I can. 😊 #softwareengineer #microsoft #maang #productbased #guidance #mentorship #interviewtips #careeradvice #linkedin #beavailable #topmate

How I Switched to a Product Based Company in 3 Years (and How You Can Too) My journey of TCS → Volkswagen → Microsoft was not easy. It took me 3 years of hard work, preparation, and perseverance. But I did it. And you can too. Here are some of the key points that I learned along the way: 💠 Set smaller goals and achieve them before aiming for bigger ones. I started with TCS and then moved on to middle-level product-based companies like Volkswagen before applying to Microsoft. 💠 Seek referrals and make your resume ATS-friendly. I improved my chances of getting noticed by recruiters by reaching out to referrals with a template that included relevant details and the job description. 💠 Build a strong foundation in DSA and practice questions from various topics. I made a list of topics and picked 10-15 questions for each one, starting with easy ones and moving on to harder ones. 💠 Be confident and communicate well. I stressed the importance of expressing your thoughts clearly and confidently during interviews, as well as asking clarifying questions and explaining your approach. 💠 Utilize time effectively and focus on personal growth. I used books, articles, and YouTube videos to prepare for interviews and learn new concepts. I also set future milestones for myself and aimed to become a better developer. 💠 Optimize your code and make it plagiarism-free. I learned how Microsoft expects candidates to write clean, efficient, and original code that can handle edge cases and errors. #careeradvice #career #success #tech #opportunity #softwareEngineer #interview

TCS → Volkswagen → Microsoft I know the efforts this journey took. And I’m proud of those efforts. During the preparation days there were many difficulties I had to overcome. But if something stuck with me —> It was the value of correct guidance. As you can imagine it’s already tough to prepare for tech interviews being a working professional, but difficulty increases a lot more when you do not know how to progress in your preparation. I faced this a lot when preparing for System Design, since it is a really vast topic, and cannot be ignored while making a switch. A lot other aspirants face this too, and many give up on making it to top companies entirely. But I’m glad that there are platforms that ensure this doesn’t happen. One of them you can check out is Bosscoder Academy which has a proud record of 400+ learners cracking top tech roles. Their structured curriculum, along with personal mentorship by top tech engineers is a sure recipe for success. To help learners remain consistent, there is 24x7 doubt support system and regular mock interviews, so every learner can become a top engineer.
