Branding and marketing are two closely related concepts that are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same thing. I was confusesd between Branding and Marketing last year, when I working as Intern. So, it is important to understand the differences between branding and marketing in order to effectively create and execute a successful business strategy. Branding refers to the process of creating a unique name, symbol, or design that represents a product or service. It is the way a company presents itself to the world and distinguishes itself from its competitors. A strong brand helps to build customer loyalty, establish credibility, and communicate the values and benefits of a product or service. Marketing, on the other hand, is the process of promoting and selling products or services. It involves researching and understanding the needs and wants of target customers, and developing a strategy to reach and persuade them to buy. Marketing efforts can include advertising, sales, public relations, and customer service. There are several key differences between branding and marketing: 📍Purpose: The main purpose of branding is to create a unique identity for a product or service, while the main purpose of marketing is to promote and sell that product or service. 📍Target audience: Branding is focused on building a relationship with the customer and establishing a long-term connection, while marketing is focused on reaching and persuading a specific target audience to buy. 📍Scope: Branding encompasses the entire customer experience, including the product or service itself, the packaging, the website, customer service, and more. Marketing, on the other hand, is focused on specific campaigns and tactics to promote and sell the product or service. 📍Timeframe: The effects of branding are long-term, as it takes time to build a strong brand and establish a relationship with customers. Marketing efforts, on the other hand, are often focused on short-term goals and may be more tactical in nature. 📍Measurement: It can be challenging to measure the effectiveness of branding, as it is a long-term process and the effects may not be immediately apparent. Marketing efforts, on the other hand, can be more easily measured through metrics such as conversion rates, website traffic, and sales. *** Follow Paras Gupta for more!! #business #marketing #branding #strategy #advertising

Why Elon Musk thinks Nitin Gadkari is making a big mistake for India by prefering Hydrogen over electric ?? Nitin Gadkari is planning to shift the reliability of Indians from Petrol to 'Hydrogen' instead of 'Electric'. He is talking about India being self- sufficient in Green Hydrogen. Green hydrogen is basically hydrogen that is extracted through electrolysis, and the electricity supplied in the process is be based on the renewable source. These cars have hydrogen fuel cells that converts hydrogen into electric current which powers the car. But this is not an 8th class science experiment as we need it in a huge amount and to produce it, you need a crazy amount of energy. And that means higher cost of fuel. Elon Musk calls hydrogen-powered cars "mind-bogglingly stupid" because here we first convert electric energy into potential energy i.e. hydrogen. And then we transfer that potential energy into a fuel cell that again makes electricity to run the motors. So EVs are better than hydrogen fuel cell cars, right? Actually, not completely. Nitin Gadkari is not limiting the usage of Green Hydrogen to passenger cars. He got 2 use case in mind: 💡We need hydrogen for trucks, buses, trailers and other heavy vehicles where EVs has proven not to be very practical. Trucks waiting for hours to charge its battery is a liability to the economy. Hydrogen fuelled trucks have much more efficiency than the e-trucks because that would not be extra bulky and can be easily re-fuelled. 💡 Heavy industries like steel, chemical, cement etc. produces a lot of CO2 and its harder for them to reduce carbon emission as they use fossil fuels as their energy source. But again, we face the same problem- high cost of production. How can we solve that?🤔 The Govt. has introduced a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme to incentivize the production of flow cost electrolysers in India that are required for the electrolysis process. They're also thinking about introducing clear mandates for heavy industries to switch to hydrogen that would lead to a lot of demand generation for green hydrogen. With plenty of tax & infrastructure ecosystem benefits, it's only a matter of time when all the co.s would want to grab the opportunity to produce green hydrogen from India not just for us, but for the world. And this will bring down the cost of green hydrogen dramatically. Because the demand for green hydrogen for heavy industries and large vehicles is going to rise, it'll be beneficial for our country to quickly figure out the entire process of production of Green Hydrogen at a reduced cost. This will set an example for the world and then we can become the next "GULF" of the world. If you get a chance to choose hydrogen or electric vehicles, which will you choose and why? *** Follow Paras Gupta for more!! #india #energy #hydrogen #electricvehicles #elonmusk
