Think Inflation is Just 6%? Think Again. Your Real Inflation Might Be 12% or More.
If you’re in your 20s or early 30s, your expenses aren’t limited to groceries and rent.
You’re dreaming of a car, traveling abroad, upgrading your lifestyle, maybe even owning a home.
Now here’s the truth:
The official CPI inflation may be ~6%, but your personal inflation — driven by aspirations, lifestyle creep, and urban living — is closer to 10-12%.
That means if your money isn’t growing at least that fast, you’re quietly getting poorer.
This is why equity investing isn’t optional anymore. It’s the only realistic path to beat real inflation and build meaningful wealth.
You don’t need to be an expert.
You just need to:
Start early
Stay consistent
Invest in India’s growth story, one SIP at a time
Your youth is your biggest asset. Use it to build wealth, not just income.

One thing every professional should do after getting their first job
Understand the difference between saving, investing, and investing just to save tax.
Textbook definitions may seem simple — but the real difference goes beyond definitions. You need to feel the difference through experience and awareness.
Don’t start investing in mutual funds just to chase returns or save on taxes. Instead, begin by building your understanding of different asset classes.
Use your early years not just to invest money, but to invest in yourself develop the skills and knowledge needed to make informed financial decisions.
If you skip this learning phase, you’ll likely end up jumping between asset classes without truly understanding what you’re doing which can be far more costly than delaying your first investment.

People don’t just learn from life experiences—they often rely more on books and courses in the name of upskilling.
Is it just me, or does this seem puzzling?
In my view, life experiences shape your attitude, while courses only provide content. What do you think?
So next time you plan to upskill, don’t just look for the best educators—first, build the right mindset and attitude for it.
