LinkedIn helped me get into Amazon To everyone who texted me regarding how I got the offer using LinkedIn and others who will like to know, here’s how: CREATE A LIST - Although I agree Amazon is my dream company, I wasn’t just targeting Amazon. I created a list of all the companies I liked and wanted to join (About 20-25 companies were there). CONNECT WITH PEOPLE - Connect with employees of those companies using LinkedIn. Usually people who’re hiring folks in their team have words like “Hiring”, “Recruiter”, “DM” etc. in their Headline. So I used to search “Amazon Hiring”, “XYZ Recruiter” etc and tried to connect with them. Wait for them to accept your request. REQUEST FOR REFERRAL - The employees who accepted your request, directly ask them if they have or know about any opening in their firm which matches your interest. Don't just say Hello in chat, directly ask. Also, don’t forget to attach your resume while sending. (Some people will directly check your resume and refer you, others won’t, few will connect with you for a small introduction call before referring) NEVER LOSE HOPE & NEVER STOP PREPARING - Keep your preparation on point, one day you’ll definitely get an email that your interview is scheduled and trust me, you won’t have much time to prepare after that. So keep yourself loaded & never stop preparing. Also I’ll say: “You’ll send request to 1000, 500 will accept it, 100 will check your DM, 50 will reply and 10 will actually try to help you.
