Data Analyst interviews feel like walking with blindfold.
You have prepared SQL.
They open Excel.
You revised Python.
They ask, “Why did this number change?”
You explained logic.
They say,
“Okay… Now do it without that column.”
That’s when it hit me.
There will not be Q&A.
There will be an analyst parkour.
No hints.
Only follow up questions.
Because analyst work is the same.
You don’t get clean data.
You don’t get clear questions.
You get confusion and deadlines.
So interviews don’t test tools.
They test how calmly you think
when everything goes off-script.
If you’ve ever walked out thinking
“I prepared everything… except that”.
Welcome to Analytics.
#DataAnalyst #Interview #SQL #Excel #Python
I learned Excel after I learned SQL, Tableau, and Python.
Until Excel humbled me in interviews with questions I should have answered easily.
Not with complex questions.
With simple ones.
Where did this number come from?
Can you break this metric?
Show this logic step by step.
Suddenly, tools didn’t matter.
Thinking did.
Excel had the answers.
Not because it’s powerful ,but because it’s honest.
Excel doesn’t hide weak logic, It exposes it.
That’s why decision-makers still trust Excel.
And why it’s the foundation of analysis.
I stopped chasing tools and started delivering answers with confidence.
Throwback to 2011…
I had 11 Facebook accounts.
Not proud. Not sorry either.
Back then, Facebook was crazy.
Everyone was just exploring what social media even meant.People felt the connection.
2016 — Jio launched.
Suddenly the whole country discovered:
“Internet chal raha hai!”
Boom. Smartphones everywhere.
2020 — Covid hit.
Locked indoors.
Screen time went up.
Short-form videos took over.
Everyone became a creator.
Attention span? Went on a vacation.
2022 — ChatGPT launched.
The AI era officially began.
Now here’s the interesting part
In the last few years, we’re seeing reverse trends
• Zero-post is trendingin 2025, people scroll but don’t post
• Feeds feel crowded, repetitive, and loud
• Every 1 in 3-4 post is a paid promotion
• AI Avatar and AI-Generated content everywhere
• Screen time decreasing with 10% Y-O-Y
So it raises 2 serious questions:
1️⃣ Are humans gradually being replaced by AI on social platforms?
2️⃣ Or are people just tired of too much, irrelevant content?
Maybe we’re just posting less and thinking more or waiting for next good stories to post.
Curious to hear your thoughts
What’s driving this shift — AI or content fatigue?
