I watched a 3 hour 45 minute movie yesterday… with ZERO popcorn.
PVR Limited, this one’s for you.
Yesterday, I visited the newly opened PVR Luxe at Unity One Mall, Pitampura with my wife and my 70+ year-old father.
We paid ₹1100 per ticket — yes, Luxe pricing.
And in return, we got… let’s call it the “Minimalist Hospitality Experience.”
Once the movie began, we pressed the food-order button on the recliner.
And then began the real suspense thriller.
45 minutes of waiting
Servers walking past us like we were part of the furniture
Raising my hand FOUR times
Each server saying, “Sir, senior aa raha hai.”
The senior, I suspect, is still “aa raha hai.”
Near the interval, someone finally took our very complex order:
A medium popcorn and two regular Pepsi.
Big ask, I know.
My wife even went outside to check if she should carry it in herself.
But PVR confidently said, “We’ll deliver it to your seat.”
They didn’t.
The movie started again.
3 HOURS passed.
Still nothing.
Then, genius-level twist — a server came to me with a bill for an order that wasn’t even mine.
I cancelled my actual order because the movie was basically ending.
Not a single apology. Not even a hint of accountability.
Having spent 8+ years in hospitality, I understand work pressure.
But this wasn’t pressure — this was a masterclass in mismanagement, a shining example of why training and leadership matter.
₹1100 ticket.
Experience worth ₹11 — and that’s me being generous.
I’m sharing this not for drama, but because customer experience is not optional. Especially for a brand positioning itself as “premium.”
PVR Cinemas, this wasn’t Luxe.
This was “luck” — and clearly, we had none.
I hope this reaches the right people.
Because this was genuinely the most disappointing theatre experience I’ve ever had.

RCB finally did it! After 18 long years… they lifted the IPL trophy.
And while I cheered like a true fan, something deeper hit me.
This wasn’t just a win. It was a story. A lesson. Actually, 18 of them.
Here’s what I took away — not just as a fan, but as a trainer, a mentor, and a believer in second chances:
18 Life Lessons from RCB’s Victory After 18 Years:
1.Never let your past define your future.
2.Consistency beats hype.
3.Even memes can’t stop someone who believes.
4.Loyalty matters. (Ask any RCB fan!)
5.Leadership evolves. From Kohli to Faf – growth is real.
6.When you’re mocked, stay focused. Not everything needs a reaction.
7.Failure isn’t final. Giving up is.
8. You don’t need to be perfect, you need to be persistent.
9.Celebrate the small wins—they build the big ones.
10.Your breakthrough year might take time. 18 years, even.
11.Hard work is invisible—until it shines bright on a trophy.
12.Believe in your team. Trust is the fuel of champions.
13.Public doubt is loud—private belief is louder.
14.Supporters who stick through the worst deserve the best.
15.Silence critics by improving—not arguing.
16.Keep showing up. Even when it’s painful.
17.Emotion is strength. Not weakness.
18. The journey makes the win worthwhile.
Now, shifting to my students...
I want to say this with all my heart—
You may not get your “trophy” on Day 1.
You may fail, get trolled, feel stuck.
But if you keep showing up like RCB…
Your 18th attempt might just be your moment of glory. 🏆
At SkillCircle™, we’ve seen underdogs rise.
Students from non-tech backgrounds now leading campaigns.
Introverts now running digital brands.
Because they didn’t quit.
Because they bet on themselves.
If RCB can wait 18 years to lift a trophy,
You can wait 18 months to build a meaningful career.
Tell me — Which of these 18 lessons hit you the hardest?
Or add your own Lesson No. 19 in the comments. 👇

From Overthinking to Taking Action: How I Overcame the Fear of Starting
I used to be an expert at one thing—overthinking.
Every time I wanted to start something new—whether it was writing content,
launching a project, or even reaching out to someone important—I froze.
“What if I fail?”
“What if people judge me?”
“What if I’m not good enough?”
And so, I did nothing.
Weeks turned into months, and I stayed stuck in my head, planning instead of doing.
Then, one day, I came across a simple thought that changed everything:
👉 Clarity comes from action, not overthinking.
So, I made a deal with myself: I would take ONE small action before my brain talked me out of it.
📌 Instead of obsessing over a perfect first post, I hit publish.
📌 Instead of worrying about what others would think, I reached out to mentors.
📌 Instead of waiting for the “right time,” I just started.
To my students who struggle with overthinking—perfection is a trap. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Just take the first step, and the path will reveal itself.
What’s one thing you’ve been overthinking but haven’t started yet? Let’s talk in the comments! 👇
