My girlfriend said I don’t give her enough time.
So I added her to every client meeting.
Introduced her as: “Co-founder.”
Now she knows why I’m always busy, why I say “quick call” and vanish, and why deadlines change my personality.
She doesn’t think I’m ignoring her anymore. She thinks I’m underpaid.
Relationship fixed. Work exposed.
Highly recommend.

A recent LinkedIn post by Nistha Tripathi has reignited debate around work-life balance in Indian corporate culture, especially within MNCs operating across global time zones.
The Gurgaon-based founder highlighted how Indian employees are often expected to stretch their working hours late into the night to align with US or European client schedules, sometimes as late as 10 PM IST.
“It is assumed that the Indian guy will take calls even at 10 pm IST,” she noted, pointing out that such expectations have quietly become normalized in many multinational setups.
Tripathi also compared this with her experience working with European teams, where employees typically log off around 5–6 PM without guilt, yet work output and deadlines remain unaffected.
She further argued that Indian workplaces often confuse availability with productivity, where employees are judged socially for logging off on time even after completing their tasks.
Concluding her post, she said professionals returning from global work environments often struggle the most with micromanagement, mistrust, and constant availability pressure.
“Being available 24/7 doesn’t make you valuable. It often means you are being taken for granted,” she wrote, sparking widespread discussion online around burnout culture and corporate expectations.
