i know a girl. she’s my age. she’s building a startup. acing everything she does. going on solo international trips. posting content. doing internships. and still somehow managing to live her life. and then there’s me. trying to get through the day without burning out. if i focus on work, i lose time for friends. if i try to slow down, i feel like i’m falling behind. and solo trips? my parents would laugh at the idea 😭 it’s not jealousy. it’s that ache of “why not me?” that sting of comparison you never asked for. and yeah, it sucks. but someone close to me said this: “riya, the answer to why me won’t come today. it’ll come 10 years from now. this ‘why me’ is what builds you. and self-doubt? it usually means you’re on the right track.” i know many of you might feel the same as me. it makes you question your pace, your choices, your timeline. but trust me when i say this, not everyone starts from the same place not everyone has the same timing and that’s okay. life has different plans for everyone. you’re not late. ________________ photo source - Geloy Concepcion, Vogue Italia, by Chiara Bardelli Nonino
