How fascinating it can be to meet the person & interact with him, the one whom you see on the screen on 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗔. I am talking about the Co-Founder & CMO of BOAT, Aman Gupta! He was invited to 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧'𝟮𝟯, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚, 𝙇𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙎𝙝𝙧𝙞 𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣, 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙝𝙞. I was selected as an anchor & moderator for his session along with my super-talented co-host A M Droupathi Mahalakshmi. Thanks to Amanpreet Kaur for the same! We had a chance to have a quick rapid fire with the OG himself to begin the session, followed by his own presentation & Q&A Round. At last, I performed a rap for him which I wrote a day before, and was quite nervous too to perform in front of him & the audience. But he was so grounded, so chill in himself that we didn't feel anything different. So cool as he seems on screen. It was indeed a great session where he gave insights not only about his personal & professional life but also about his inter-college experiences & his past memories with our college. Now, very few people know that I also worked as a radio jockey at a startup media firm for 6 months and handled an interview segment. So it was not my first time to do anchoring or being a moderator. But this time, it was different. I remember our union members saying during dry runs, "𝗚𝘂𝘆𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲. 𝗛𝗲'𝘀 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗚𝗨𝗣𝗧𝗔, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗚𝗨𝗣𝗧𝗔!" This made me more nervous that what if I fumble, what if, I get blank because most of the things were spontaneous & not scripted. But I am glad that I and my co-host managed to moderate it well. Here I am not at all boasting that I am super talented to do so. But I am sharing this surreal experience. Two aspects that came out after this incident are: 1. Oh damn, Riya! you were so good on the stage! Kudos to you & your co-host for managing so well. 2. Anchoring hi to ki hai. What's so much to boast about? In my view, both perspectives are right in their own place. What I believe is: • 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁, be it Aman Gupta or any person. What matters is how you present yourself as a host or anchor. • Try to be 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁. • Try to be 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀. • Take appreciation but 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀. • Give credit to 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 I was on stage but they were everywhere. My batchmates and all the volunteers were handling backstage, logistics, and coordinating throughout. From his special entry into the college to the closing ceremony, It would not be possible without all your support & coordination. Shoutout to Department of Commerce, LSR for pulling it off! #learning #opportunity #experience #anchoring #gratitude #amangupta #boat #collegelife #teamwork

Few months ago, I came across a post by Sandeep Kumar (pinned in comment), read it, saved it. It stayed with me. I thought to myself I needed to make the most out of the next 6 months, which is my last semester in college and then I'll be graduating. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭? Yes, I tried to. On 6th June 2024, I graduated from Lady Shri Ram College For Women. Not only the last semester but the past 2 years, 6 months, and 18 days were not less than a roller coaster ride in the city of Delhi with bright young minds coming together from different courses and backgrounds for undergrad. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫? 1. 𝐌𝐲 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭:  Before ending college, I wanted to do something around podcasting and experiment with a team of my own. Do something cool and can be a way of giving back to college. Hence, founded THE 5 AM PROJECT. (𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦: https://lnkd.in/gyAJiSwH) 2. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: From being in OC of Tarang LSR (𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞'𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭) to hosting Comquest'2024 (Commerce 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭) to coordinate Veerangana (NCC's 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭) to hosting Abhyudaya (YIF's 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭), I coordinated, supervised, anchored and volunteer in some. These events are best way to make friends as we all will cherish these days! 3. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬/𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:  I had my own share of going through the placement cycle, sitting through interviews, and getting offers from some, both on-campus & off-campus. But even after it projects were going on alongside which helped me realise - Yes, this is last semester and fun events are going on but if you can chalk out time to learn and work with great minds, then why not? [C4E, sy'a, 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘫𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 - 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴] 4. 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐬:  Impromptu trips, weekend getaways, and random chai dates with friends to keep me sane amidst all of this because no matter how many times you say to your friends, '𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩', '𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘢 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘱 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳', I know we'll not be meeting them as frequently as this after college. 5. 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠:  Confess/confront those whom you did not get a chance to earlier throughout college. Sort the grudges and end with best wishes. Last talks/thankyou/goodbyes to all the guard bhaiya/didi, caretaker office staff, professors whose class I missed the most and all this felt wholesome to end on a good note. Grateful to LSR because the institution, the network, the peers I had, the experiences I had, shaped me into a more confident and compassionate individual. All the best to the Batch of 2024 To new beginnings, and chapters that unfold ✨ Cheers Riya Ps: Picture for algorithm and also because LinkedIn life update:) #learning #experiences #graduation #collegelife #studentlife #internships #networking

15000 𝐤𝐢 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐮𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬! 𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘫𝘦𝘦𝘣 𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢 𝘯? But when you got to sell and market the product, you don't just have to sell the chewing gum but also the experience for which a politician will spend 15000 rupees! Greetings Connections💫 I am glad to share that I along with Khushi Gupta and Divanshi Gupta secured 2𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 in 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 organized by Synergy- The Corporate Society of SSCBS. After getting a decent score in Round 1, and somehow surviving the auction and bidding in Round 2, we presented our pitch in the final round with some drama in the beginning, the product as the king in the middle, and the marketing & promotional structure at the end! It was a great learning experience as this was quite different from other competitions that we had participated till now. The product, price, and place that we got, door tak ek doosre se related nahi the but after some brainstorming and research, we came up with an interesting start and storytelling for the pitch and then presented the marketing strategy for the same. Our esteemed Judge Raman Bhalla gave us feedback on how distribution channels could have been worked upon more. Apart from that I also got to know his passion for theatre, journey as a content creator, and more insights into TMV! Thankful to my dearest teammates, especially for the Twitter creativity Khushi Gupta and handling last minutes changes Divanshi Gupta 🙌 Also, Kudos to the organizers and OC members for handling the flow of events so well! #learning #opportunity #marketing #teamwork #competition #du #sscbs
