Few months ago, I came across a post by Sandeep Kumar (pinned in comment), read it, saved it. It stayed with me. I thought to myself I needed to make the most out of the next 6 months, which is my last semester in college and then I'll be graduating.
𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭? Yes, I tried to.
On 6th June 2024, I graduated from Lady Shri Ram College For Women.
Not only the last semester but the past 2 years, 6 months, and 18 days were not less than a roller coaster ride in the city of Delhi with bright young minds coming together from different courses and backgrounds for undergrad.

1. 𝐌𝐲 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭:
Before ending college, I wanted to do something around podcasting and experiment with a team of my own. Do something cool and can be a way of giving back to college. Hence, founded THE 5 AM PROJECT.

2. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
From being in OC of Tarang LSR (𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞'𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭) to
hosting Comquest'2024 (Commerce 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭) to coordinate Veerangana (NCC's 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭) to hosting Abhyudaya (YIF's 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭), I coordinated, supervised, anchored and volunteer in some.
These events are best way to make friends as we all will cherish these days!
3. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬/𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
I had my own share of going through the placement cycle, sitting through interviews, and getting offers from some, both on-campus & off-campus.
But even after it projects were going on alongside which helped me realise - Yes, this is last semester and fun events are going on but if you can chalk out time to learn and work with great minds, then why not?

4. 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐬:
Impromptu trips, weekend getaways, and random chai dates with friends to keep me sane amidst all of this because no matter how many times you say to your friends, '𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩', '𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘢 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘱 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳', I know we'll not be meeting them as frequently as this after college.
5. 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Confess/confront those whom you did not get a chance to earlier throughout college. Sort the grudges and end with best wishes.
Last talks/thankyou/goodbyes to all the guard bhaiya/didi, caretaker office staff, professors whose class I missed the most and all this felt wholesome to end on a good note.
Grateful to LSR because the institution, the network, the peers I had, the experiences I had, shaped me into a more confident and compassionate individual.
All the best to the Batch of 2024
To new beginnings, and chapters that unfold ✨
Cheers
Riya
