As I wrap up my 12-week summer internship at PayPal , I’m reflecting on an amazing journey filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences.
First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my manager Lokesh K, mentor Pravin, guide Vishnu Bharadwaj, and the entire PPCP team for their unwavering support, invaluable guidance, and mentorship. Their encouragement has been pivotal in my development throughout this internship.
A special shoutout to the entire university team Aiswarya Das, Sindhuja Parthasarathy, Sanjana Sipani, Priyanka Nayak, and Arun P Sarma for their exceptional efforts in coordinating this program and making it a truly enriching experience.
This summer has been marked by some incredible highlights: participating in Intern Day, making a meaningful impact on Impact Day, and proudly being the captain of the team-Command Exec that won the India Intern Hackathon'24! 🏆I’m also incredibly grateful to our mentor Aadhithya B.Kailash for his guidance and support, which was crucial to our success.
Representing India interns by being a part of the Global PayPal Intern video was the key highlight of my journey. Really got inspired by the ideas of the India Site Leader Chandramouliswaran V, PhD 💫
🎉 I was also honored to present my work in front of members from other teams during the Intern Expo, engage in an insightful Q&A session with PayPal’s CTO Srini Venkatesan and had a virtual meeting with our CEO Alex Chriss. These experiences provided invaluable perspectives and were definite highlights of my internship.
The fun didn’t stop there! I thoroughly enjoyed the team activities, from Fun Fridays and cricket matches to the camaraderie shared with my fellow co-interns. These moments have created lasting friendships and wonderful memories.
I’d like to express my gratitude to John Huân Vũ for the invaluable opportunity of three 30-minute mentorship sessions during my journey.
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve received a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) and am excited about the opportunity to continue my journey with PayPal. Here’s to many more achievements and learning experiences ahead!
Thank you once again to everyone who made this internship so special. On to the next chapter! 🚀

In a couple of days, I’ll be joining PayPal as an SDE-1!!🎉
I’m very excited and grateful to begin this journey, so I thought I’ll start by sharing my interview experience and prep strategy!🔻
I applied via PayPal’s Career Portal and cleared these rounds:
✅ Round 1 (OA): There was 1 medium-level coding question & multiple MCQs.
✅ Round 2 (Technical): There was another coding problem & questions on OOPs concepts.
✅ Round 3 (HR + Behavioral): I was asked a few common questions and DSA concepts.
Here is how I prepared:
📌 I practiced DSA on LeetCode (Top 100 + Tagwise Prep) and solved Striver’s sheet.
📌 Ensured to understand core CS concepts right from the start.
📌 After facing rejection from Microsoft for the Associate Consultant Intern Role, I wanted to be extra careful this time. So, I connected with senior SDEs and gave timed mocks.
These mocks helped me understand the exact areas I missed and improve myself before the interview. And if you want to crack a PBC interview, do ensure to give mocks💯

I got a referral from Oracle on my first attempt!🥳
So, a few months ago, I was exploring internship opportunities and reached out to an Oracle employee.
I wasn’t sure if it would work but I put effort into crafting a clear message…
To my surprise, they referred me internally!
📌 Here’s what helped me and can help you:
➤ Target the right people – Employees in relevant roles or teams.
➤ Be polite and professional – No copy-paste spam. Show that you’ve done your homework.
➤ Keep it short – Include your resume, the role/Job ID, your background, and your portfolio.
Remember, SDEs at MNCs do refer but they NEED a reason and your portfolio is one. If your resume and portfolio can impress them, you are IN ✅
I know, it is easier said than done. I have been in the same shoes, trying to make my portfolio stand out and taking help from my seniors who cracked placements.
You can also take guidance from SDEs who have cracked MNCs and can help you build your portfolio, assist with resume, train you on tech concepts & take mocks!🚀

They will also arrange referrals & support in your job search until you land your dream role❤️
P.S. Want the exact referral message template I used?
DM "referral template" and I’ll share it with you!
