From Rice Husk to Riches How Two Brothers Are Turning Waste into Wealth Building a ₹3 Crore Eco-Friendly Empire One Plate at a Time In 2022, brothers Rishabh and Rohan Suri from Trivandrum, Kerala, founded Kudrat Ecofriendly Products with one mission to create eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. Inspired back in 2020, they spent two years learning from experts before launching their startup. Starting with just ₹1.5 lakh, they quickly gained traction securing ₹64 lakh in funding from Startup India, Kerala Startup Mission, and others. Today, Kudrat produces edible plates, tumblers, spoons, bowls, trays, and straws from rice husk, straw, and sugarcane waste products that decompose naturally in just 30-120 days.
