🏆 Secured 5th Position Globally in MoEngage Stepathon! 🏆 I recently got the opportunity to participate in the Stepathon conducted by MoEngage , and I’m thrilled to share that I secured 5th place globally! 🎉💪 As a reward, I received the Google Fitbit Inspire 3 ⌚—a moment that made me reflect on something deeper. 💭 Back in college, I once wished to own a Google Fitbit—not as a necessity, but just for the experience. However, I let the thought go because it wasn’t my need at that time. But God always knows what is best for us and when. ⏳ If we focus on our work without worrying about the results, He ensures we receive what we truly need at the right moment. 🙏✨ Many might say I won this through my hard work, but I believe it was part of God's plan. 💫 He wanted to test me—to see if I was truly ready for it. What if I had lost hope and given up midway? I wouldn’t have made it. 🌟 Exciting News from the Smart Indian Hackathon! 🚀 Dear LinkedIn Connections, I'm thrilled to share the incredible journey we undertook at the recent Smart Indian Hackathon. As a B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering student at GLA University, I had the privilege of Guiding an amazing team of talented individuals. 🤝 Our Team: - Somnath Kaushik (Me) - B.Tech CSE, 3rd Year - Abhishek Saxena - B.Tech Mechanical, 3rd Year - First-Year Teammates: Vimal , Rajat, Soniya and Vartul Special thanks to Mayank Pratap Singh for helping and supporting us . 🌐 Project Overview: We embarked on a journey with a unique challenge: to design a Smart Lighting and Security System for public areas. The project aimed to enhance energy efficiency and safety simultaneously. Our system was driven by a combination of sensors and smart controls. 💡 Smart Features: - Automated lighting control based on daylight and motion detection. - Enhanced security through PIR and Ultrasonic sensors. - Notifications to authorities for prolonged presence in restricted areas. - A remote monitoring and control dashboard for efficient management. 🚧 Challenges Faced: Our journey wasn't without its hurdles. At the outset, some of our first-year team members faced challenges and were considering backing off due to a lack of support. It was a critical moment. 💪 Triumph Over Challenges: But here's where the magic happened. With unwavering determination and the spirit of teamwork, we motivated these students to join us. Overnight, we became a diverse, determined team. Through sheer determination, teamwork, and sleepless nights, we created a project that amazed the judges. Their enthusiasm was contagious as they appreciated our idea, thought process, and implementation. They even took our contact details for future collaboration! 🔮 The Future: We're excited about the future of our project. We plan to enhance it with advanced components, machine learning, and mobile app integration. The goal is to make public spaces more secure, energy-efficient, and user-friendly. 🙌 Thanks to GLA University: I want to express my gratitude to GLA University for providing an environment that fosters innovation and teamwork.
