HR: I rejected a CV from a candidate twice. He applied for the third time, and I called him for an interview. And guess what? We offered him a role right after the interview. Now, a year later, he has become the Team Leader and is performing excellently. The lesson I learned from this: 📌 A person’s skills and potential can’t always be measured on paper. 📌 Persistence and determination matter just as much as experience. 📌 Sometimes, all someone needs is an opportunity. Sometimes, they are more than that one-page profile. Just give them a chance.

Job search depression is real. It’s that sinking moment when rejection emails pile up, self-doubt creeps in, and you begin questioning your worth—both professionally and personally. The endless waiting, the silence after interviews, and the constant “What’s next?” can take a toll on anyone. But here’s the thing: Almost everyone faces it at some point. So, the least we can do is show empathy when someone approaches us with a job application. If you’re in a position to help: • Offer guidance. • Share opportunities. • Most importantly, don’t ghost candidates. A simple “yes” or “no” can mean the world to someone navigating this tough phase. Let’s build a world where career journeys are met with kindness, not indifference. #JobSearchDepression #EmpathyMatters #CareerSupport #RecruitmentInsights #JobSeekers

I called a candidate to discuss his offer. CTC was slightly below what he had asked for. I expected a negotiation. Instead, he said: “Ma’am, I’m okay with this.” I paused. Something felt off. So I asked, “Are you sure? You can negotiate.” He replied quietly: “I’ve been unemployed for 7 months. My rent is due. My mother keeps asking if I got any call. I just need a start again.” That conversation stayed with me. We talk so much about: • Confidence • Salary negotiation • Knowing your worth But sometimes, people aren’t under-confident. They’re just tired. Tired of waiting. Tired of explaining gaps. Tired of pretending everything is fine. So we revised the offer. Not out of sympathy.. but respect. Because survival shouldn’t cost someone their dignity. Behind every “okay with this CTC” there’s often a story we never ask.
