WHY ???
Why do people think LinkedIn is a dating platform?
I generally receive many DMs regarding whether there are any job opportunities in your company or if you are looking for a job change. And I do reply to them because not replying kind of looks rude.
So, DMs are from boys like Adarsh Singh, asking where I am from?
I am like why are you asking that?
Does it make any sense?
So, stop doing such irritating things over a professional platform like LinkedIn and start behaving like professionals.

Yesterday, I had a meeting scheduled at 3 PM at the Carrier India office.
To ensure I was on time, I pre-booked my cab for 12:40 PM, which showed me a travel time of 1 hour from my location. I kept the rest as buffer time for any “just-in-case” situations because, as much as I try to keep things timely in my life, we all know that’s not always possible. 😅
So of course, my cab got canceled, and after several attempts and reschedules, I finally managed to get one at 1:15 PM. After the delays, I reached the Carrier office at 2:35 PM. Ugh!
Thankfully, I had that buffer time in place, or else I would’ve been seriously late for my first meeting with a senior member. First impressions are crucial, and I couldn’t afford to make a bad one by showing up late, especially for such an important meeting.
This whole experience reaffirmed one thing: it’s always better to reach early rather than risk being late. Ultimately, it’s about being professional, respecting other people's time, and making sure everything goes smoothly, no matter how much planning you do.
Lesson learned: Buffer time is your friend!
It was a pleasure meeting Nayan Das, Navneet Chugh & Saurabh Soni in person today. Looking forward to many more successful meetings ahead!
