Having a good physique doesn't make you an expert in Nutrition.
These days every second person who goes to a gym calls him/herself a Nutritionist.
Funny right?
You can even do any random 3 month course on the internet and become a Nutritionist.
Even funnier! lmao
It's sad to see that qualified people are still not getting that recognition in the fitness industry and fitness influencers, gym trainers are calling them a Nutritionist.
People are even selling their nutrition plans/coaching in crazy amounts just because they have a good physique and they have a glamorous insta profile.
It's high time we stop promoting such people and ask them about their qualification before we purchase their plan.
They should atleast have a bachelor's or masters degree in Nutrition/Dietitics or Food and Nutrition.
Am I right or am I right?
Thoughts??

Who is considered a Nutritionist in India?
Anyone who has lost weight themselves
Anyone who has reversed any disease by themselves
Anyone who has read one/two books on Nutrition
Anyone who consider themselves fitness enthusiast
Anyone and everyone who has X amount of followers on social media and goes to gym start talking about nutrition and diet.
Who should be considered a Nutritionist (legally)
Who has done a bachelor's/master's in food science/nutritional sciences/dietetics with experience of handling patients or has done a certification of at least 2 years from a renowned institute
Well sadly the latter ones are often not given enough importance and are often settled with a low paying job because they just don't market themselves like how the non-professional ones do..
It's time to wake up and take a stand for ourselves.
If you're a Dietitian/Nutritionist reading this please share this and spread the word.

Life of a Dietitian/Nutritionist:
People often approach us through Social media like Instagram or Facebook. The minute they know about our profession, they ask questions like: Give some tips for weight loss or for any health issue.
As health Professionals our role is to help people with right diet but It needs to be understood that everyone's problem is different.
You might gain weight due to a sedentary lifestyle or it can be due to hormonal Imbalance. There are n number of reasons for any health issue.
You need to get a proper diet consultancy with a professional in order to get results for your Issue. It is equally important to seek diet help as you take medical help. No body likes to eat medicines throughout their life, but you would be needing food.
You don't think twice while visting a doctor, then why you think too much while consulting a dietitian/nutritionist or you always expect free diet plans.
Food is a medicine that should be given the first preference.
