My Google Interview Experience for SWE II role 💙 ❤️ 💛 💙 💚 ❤️ :  ⏰ The Timeline: 1️) Recruiter email on 15th April 2024 2️) Recruiter call on 18th April 2024 3️) Asked for some prep time (yes, you can do that!) 4️) Mock Interview on 10 May 2024 5️) 3 Coding rounds 6️) 1 Googleyness round 7️) 2 Team match rounds for the same team Based on my profile, the recruiter skipped the phone screen round and moved me directly to the onsite interviews. These onsite rounds are non-eliminatory, meaning I'll receive the results only after completing all of them. 💻 The Onsite Interviews: 1️⃣ Coding round 1: A topological sort problem with an alternative solution using color coding Difficulty: Medium-Hard - I let the interviewer know about both the approaches and  coded the first one but forgot to handle some edge cases. - I then resolved the problem and the interviewer appeared satisfied. - The interviewer then gave me a follow-up for the same question, to which I explained the approach and coded it as well. 2️⃣ Coding round 2: A problem involving Square Root Decomposition. Difficult: Hard -This problem was the most difficult problem among all my rounds. -I solved the problem in 30 mins; I had gotten confused with respect to the time remaining and hence coded it super-fast. -The interviewer then went on to ask me 5 follow-ups for this question. -I was able to solve 4 of them and code them as well. I got stuck in the last follow-up. I was really nervous about the result of this round but later on I got to know it had better feedback than my first round!!. 3️⃣ Coding round 3: Another Graph problem. Difficulty: Hard -This could be solved using a modification of Dijsktra’s algorithm. -The interviewer really checked my thought process and approach in this round and I had only 12 mins to code it up. Overall, it went well and the interviewer seemed very happy with the explanation and code. 4️⃣ Googleyness round: -I was asked 1 behavioural question with multiple follow up questions and different scenarios in each of the follow up. -I had prepared the top 50 questions asked in Interviews for this round. 💃 Result: -My interview feedback was very positive. I had a team match round 4 days after my Googlyness Round.  -I had a Fit Call with my to be manager and I liked the team so I conveyed the same to my recruiter. -Post that I had another fit call with another member of the same team, since this was a new team and they wanted me to meet the Team Lead as well. Once this was done I got my offer letter from Google within 5 days! 🤓 My Experience: The Google interview problems are very unique and they really force one to think out of the box. The whole process was very enriching for me and I had the best experience with the recruiters, interviewers and interview coordinators as well. They were very accommodating and always available!

🎉 Exciting Times for Future Tech Stars! Internship Adventures are About to Begin! 🚀 Hey everyone! 👋 With May kicking off, many bright interns across the nation are about to embark on their first taste of the corporate tech world! 🤩 Here are some crucial pointers to focus on during your tech internship to truly maximize this incredible opportunity and boost your chances of landing that coveted PPO: 1. Be a Question Sponge! 🧽 As an intern, it's totally expected that you're still learning the ropes. Embrace this! Ask tons of questions about the systems, workflows, and even career paths. 🤔💡 2. Become a Detective of Information! 🕵️‍♀️ While asking questions is key, sometimes the answer you seek might be closer than you think! Dedicate some time and effort to explore documentation, internal resources, and even try a bit of independent troubleshooting before reaching out. 🧐🔍 3. Embrace Your Domain! 👑 This is HUGE, even for seasoned engineers! Take complete ownership of the tasks or components assigned to you. Even if you don't grasp the entire ecosystem yet, strive to become the go-to person on your team for that specific area. Make yourself an indispensable part of the puzzle! 🧩💪 4. Don't Hesitate to Reach Out! 🙋‍♀️ As an intern, hitting roadblocks is part of the journey. The interns who truly thrive are the ones who recognize when they need assistance. Don't spin your wheels for too long – raise your hand and ask for guidance at the right time. 🤝 5. Seek Feedback Proactively!🗣️ Don't wait for formal reviews. Regularly ask your mentor and team members for constructive criticism on your work and approach. 🌱👂 6. Document Your Wins (Big & Small)! ✍️ Keep a record of your accomplishments, the challenges you overcame, and the impact you made 📊✅ 7. Be a Team Player Extraordinaire! 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Offer help to your teammates when you have capacity, even if it's outside your direct responsibilities. 🤗 8. Show Genuine Enthusiasm!😄 Your attitude matters! Be proactive, show up with a positive mindset, and demonstrate your passion for technology and learning. Your energy is contagious! ✨ 9. Understand the Business Context: 🤔 Take the initiative to learn about the company's products, its users, and its overall goals. Understanding the bigger picture will help you align your work with the company's vision. 🌍 10. Network Intentionally! ☕ Take the opportunity to connect with engineers and leaders across different teams. Schedule virtual coffee chats to learn about their experiences and career paths. Building a strong network can open future doors. 🚪 #TechInternship #InternAdvice #EarlyCareer #SoftwareEngineering #FutureOfTech #CareerDevelopment #PPO #InternshipTips #TechIndustry #LearningAndGrowth #GoogleIntern #MicrosoftIntern

Recently got access to TUF+ by Raj Vikramaditya While reviewing the platform, I understood why so many people around me are choosing takeUforward for their next career switch. The UX and content quality stand out immediately. Everything feels clean, structured, and thoughtfully designed. Having prepared during my college days, I can confidently say this is far better than what most of us had back then. The platform offers a premium experience at a pricing point that is well ahead of the competition. It genuinely feels like a One-STOP solution for interview preparation, covering everything in one place. What really resonated with me was the attention to detail across the platform. You can clearly tell this product is built by someone who has personally walked this journey. Only someone who has gone through the same challenges can design content at this depth, and that is something I strongly connect with, given I come from the same field. I would not be surprised if TUF creates a monopoly in the interview preparation market.
