Why didn't I join Big 4? Hey everyone! Before I proceed, let me share a bit about myself. I graduated in 2023 from Sri Venkateswara College and had the opportunity to join one of the Big 4. However, I made the conscious decision not to, and here's why: 𝟭. 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 - Location posed a challenge since the position was in Mumbai, which didn't align with my immediate plans. 𝟮. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 - My heart has always been in marketing, and I eventually realised that I should pursue what I love. 𝟯. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 - I realized that joining PwC might hinder my future plans, and I didn't want to have regrets later Though many said I was making a big mistake by leaving Big 4, do I regret my decision? No. 𝘞𝘩𝘺? 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘺. The 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 here is that there will always be an opportunity cost, and in such moments, it's crucial to prioritize what truly matters. There might be times when you doubt your choices, but remember why you made them. Have faith in yourself and keep moving forward because tum kar sakte ho and tum kroge (You can do it, and you will!). Stay true to your path and your dreams! All the best! LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating #careers #placements #passion #linkedin

Pouring my heart and important lessons I learnt in the past some days! Hey LinkLoves! Lately, I've been riding a rollercoaster of emotions. The past few days have been full of stress, frustration, irritation, and anxiety. My mind was nothing less than a tornado swaying lots of thoughts with itself. I found myself unable to engage as usual, merely repurposing old posts. I even considered taking a break. Then, I remembered a book a friend gave me: "Life's Amazing Secrets" by Gaur Gopal Das ji. I couldn't have read it at a better time. After just six chapters, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. Without it, I might've needed days to process everything. Now, you might be wondering what I learnt, right? Gratitude. Seeing the positives, counting my blessings, and hitting pause to truly feel thankful. And why worry about things beyond our control? Instead, focus on giving your best and let the rest go. You might think these are common sense, and they are. But sometimes, you need a reminder to truly accept and relate to them. I got my reminder after reading the book and now I am back with HIGH JOSH!! P.S. - Do you want me to post key takeaways from the book after I complete reading it? Follow Vanshita Gupta for more! Aap to bade log hogye ho! Hey LinkLoves! Have you ever heard this from people you know? Well, I have, when: - I started writing content on LinkedIn. - I couldn't connect frequently due to work commitments. - I decreased the number of times we talked in a week because of my studies. When I heard this frequently, I thought I was doing something very wrong. I felt like I wasn't a good friend because I was not able to maintain the contact my friends were expecting. I tried to match my friends' expectations, but I realized: - This is not me. - I can't maintain daily contact. - I can't force myself to meet others' expectations. - I have limited hours and want to devote them to my growth. Honestly, realizing and accepting this was not easy. It took a toll on me. Many of you may be facing a similar dilemma. But trust me, it's okay to be different. In the end, we need to prioritize our mental peace. Because agr tum khudka dhyaan nhi rkhoge to kon rkhega? Be gentle on yourself, LinkLoves! Liked the read? Follow Vanshita Gupta for more!
