छोटा सा दिया भी अंधेरे में रोशनी फैलाता है।
(Even a small lamp can light up the darkness.)
A simple thank you.
A quick check-in.
A genuine compliment.
At work, these little acts of kindness cost nothing but can mean everything. They boost morale, build trust, and create a culture where people feel valued.
Studies show that employees who feel appreciated are 31% more productive and stay longer in their jobs.
So today, take a moment to:
✔ Appreciate a colleague
✔ Acknowledge someone’s effort
✔ Offer help without being asked
Because kindness isn’t just good for people—it’s good for business.

𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵!
Starting a new job can be overwhelming, but one skill that will set you up for success from day one is mastering time management. Balancing new tasks, learning the ropes, and meeting expectations all come down to how well you manage your time. Here’s how to get started:
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭: 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀
Your first month will be full of to-dos, but not all tasks are created equal. Start by identifying the most critical tasks—the ones that impact your role or team the most. Ask your manager which deliverables are top priority, and focus your energy there. Don’t be afraid to ask questions to clarify what should take precedence.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮: 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀
Big projects can feel daunting, especially in your first few weeks. The key is to break them down into smaller, manageable steps. Tackling one piece at a time helps you build momentum and ensures you're making steady progress without feeling overwhelmed.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗼 (𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘆)
It’s natural to want to impress, but overcommitting can lead to burnout. If your plate is full, it’s okay to say “no” or negotiate deadlines. Be honest about your workload and offer alternative timelines. Your team will appreciate your transparency and ability to manage your time effectively.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀
Consistency is key. Establish routines that structure your day—whether it’s setting aside time in the morning for emails or carving out focused work blocks. Routines help minimize decision fatigue, so you can focus on delivering quality work.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟱: 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲
At the end of each week, take a few moments to review what worked and what didn’t. Did you meet your deadlines? Were there any time-wasters? Use these reflections to refine your approach, making each week more productive than the last.
Your first month is about learning, adapting, and proving your value. Mastering time management will help you not only meet expectations but exceed them.
Betsy 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘴, time management is the foundation for long-term success in any role.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆!
If you're worried about what HR might say when you bring up your salary concerns, let me reassure you: it's completely normal to be concerned about your pay. After all, we work to earn a living.
So, you've received a job offer, but the salary is a bit lower than you expected. Now it's time to evaluate how much lower it is, and for that, you'll need to do some research!
Step 1: Start by researching the average salary for that role in your area (remember, salaries vary by location). I recommend using sites like Glassdoor for this.
Step 2: After checking the average salary, decide if you're satisfied based on your experience. Consider if your skills warrant a higher pay or, if you're a fresh graduate, if you're willing to accept a lower salary to gain experience.
Consider the entire offer as a package. While the salary is crucial, also look at any extra benefits and perks. For example, if the salary is slightly below your expectations but comes with excellent benefits, it might be worth considering. However, if there are no added benefits, you might want to negotiate more assertively on the salary.
Don't make a decision right away. Take some time to do your research and figure out what will make you happy. Remember, we can feel frustrated in these situations, but it's essential to approach the conversation from an informed standpoint.
Step 3: Once you've gathered your thoughts, write an email to the HR representative or recruiter thanking them for the offer and requesting a brief call (10 to 15 minutes) to discuss it further.
